Gunner nieuwste SIX Million Dollar Sire

Het gaat hard in de reining industrie op het moment! Dankzij de successen van de nakomelingen van \”Gunner\” (APHA Colonels Smoking Gun) is deze dekhengst de nieuwste NRHA Six Million Dollar Sire. Hij is hiermee de zesde dekhengst die deze status heeft gekregen.

In september 2012 werd \”Gunner\” benoemd tot 4 Million Dollar Sire en in mei 2013 alweer 5 Million Dollar sire. Nu een jaar later hebben zijn nakomelingen weer een miljoen dollar prijzengeld bij elkaar gewonnen! 

\”Gunner\” (1993) won zelf de Reserve titel op de 1996 Open NRHA Futurity met Clint Haverty. Vijf jaar later won hij (2001) de USET National Reining Championship met Bryant Pace. De hengst won zelf bijna $175.000,- aan prijzengeld in zijn carriére. In 2003 kwam \”Gunner\” in the NRHA Hall Of Fame.

 

\”Gunner\” is overig jaar op de leeftijd van 20 jaar overleden. Hij was op dat moment in eigendom van Tim en Colleen McQuay.

Awards include: 2012 High Roller Reining Classic Futurity L 4 Open Champion, 2012 NRHA Futurity L 4 Open Champion, and 2013 NRHA Derby and NRBC L 4 Open third place.
Gunners Special Nite (Gunner x Mifs Doll by Mifilena): $219,700 NRHA LTE, bred by Kim and Debra Sloan and owned by Turnabout Farm, Inc. The first reining horse to be honored with the USEF Horse of the Year award. Other awards include: 2007 NRHA Futurity L 3 Open Champion and L 4 Open Reserve Champion; 2008 and 2009 NRHA Derby L 4 Open finalist; 2009 and 2010 NRBC L 4 Open finalist; and 2010 Alltech® FEI World Equestrian Games™ Individual and Team Gold Medalist.
